Sage Sense Today
August 14, 2009
Today I will focus on just being. I will engage in the gentle art of, “not doing”.
I will take the time to go to the park, sit on the ground, listen to the birds; to the laughter of the children at play. I will hear the tower bell hourly chimes.
I will see through a child’s eyes; with freshness and wonder!
I will listen silently with an open heart.
I will feel the sensations throughout my being.
I will taste the sweetness from a sprig of purple clover.
I will smell the fragrance of the ever blooming roses.
I will share greetings and embraces with friends along the way.
I will listen to my guide and replenish my soul.
One of my favorite little sayings, that hangs on my office door is…
Listening to your heart, finding out who you are, is not simple. It takes time for the chatter to quite down. In the silence of “not doing” we begin to know what we feel. If we listen and hear what is being offered, then anything in life can be our guide. Listen.

More than likely your mind is on overload, searching endlessly for anything to write about.
“Have you forgotten rule, Numero Uno ?” your inner voice chimes in. [Read more →]

Developing awareness and being mindful of your life is like a Polaroid camera clicking in our mind, as the picture slowly develops right in front of our eyes. It comes into focus when we come face to face with reality and choose to take a closer look. [Read more →]

Dear Diary
The Grass is Always Greener on the Other Side
Dear Diary,
Today at work, I had a keen sense of awareness, which provided a great deal of insight and reflection. As you already know, I work on a rehabilitation wing. One of my previous resident’s was readmitted. Although, it has been a relatively short time since her last admission, there has been a significant change in her appearance. [Read more →]

YOU GOTTA PAY ATTENTION WHEN SOMETHING HITS YOU LIKE THIS
I watched a recent airing of America’s Funniest Videos and got an especially large kick out of this segment. A three year old was being invited out of her bedroom to appear on her father’s video camera. The child finally appeared in the open hallway but under great duress. “I’m MAD!!”, she exclaimed and refused to come any closer to the camera. [Read more →]
